How it Works

Send me your wish list!

On certain holidays, whenever I have the bandwidth (I tend to get sick a lot from daycare), I coordinate with my kid friends to do a gift giving exercise. (Side Note: This exercise way is different than the exercise my daddy makes me do where he holds my hands and makes me walk. I find that SUPER tiring.) Anyway, I put out a call for letters or drawings from kids in need of extra holiday cheer. In return for a sweet note, I will mail them a small gift that they mentioned in the letter. It’s like a one-time pen pal thing! I am SO ready for this – I already bought 2 sheets of Star Wars stamps at the post office!

Some examples of giving exercises:

  • At Christmas time, I will put out a call for Christmas wish list letters, and my family, friends and I read the letters and respond to the letters, often times sending them a small gift!
  • During Chinese New Year, I will put out a call for well wishes and in return, we’ll send out a red envelope with a some dollars in it.

I love to participate in any holiday that gives me an excuse to give!
